Phoenix Metro in fact has seen home prices rise over 5% in the past 60 days. The number of active listings has dropped to 37,000 from a peak of 56,000. There is currently a 4.1 month supply of homes - considered an equilibrium supply. The level of sales - 8,500-9,000 per month is near all time peak levels. The supply of REO homes is less than 1month.

While job losses are continuing and overall State budget woes exist, the re-sale housing market has turned the corner and is coming off the bottom (It is not still dropping). See www.cromfordreport.com.

Opportunistic investors have also voted in favor of this region - over one hundred private equity and hedgefund investors surveyed - rank Phoenix metro in the top 5 areas that will rebound.
