To lift conversions (and sales), should you replace “click here” links on your Web site with links that say something like “request a quote“?
Dustin Curtis, a Web design expert, recently tested two call-to-action links:
- “You should follow me on Twitter here,” versus
- “Follow me on Twitter.”
Result: The use of the word “here” in online links got a 72.5% lift in clicks.
A link that says “click here” may look ugly, but if it improves conversions usability, it’s worth using it again and again.
