Your company may have benefited from the slump in freight demand this past year. But beware: The deals aren’t here to stay.

There are many signs of a pickup in the logistics industry, from an increase in container imports to an uptick in truck sales.

It’s valuable “intel” to have, especially at this time of year, when most organizations are up to their eyeballs in the budgeting process.

And most likely those freight budgets will have to be set higher than they were this year.

Unless your company’s purchasers can lock in rates now, you’ll probably pay at least between 3% and 6% more for rail transport, for example, next year.
