It’s estimated that on any day, between on-the-road employees, those working at client sites and telecommuters, up to 50% of businesses’ employees are “mobile.”

And it ain’t cheap to support: Companies are currently spending an average of $7,208 per-year, per-employee on this, says travel and relocation experts Runzheimer International.

That number includes the costs of everything from equipping folks to work remotely, supporting them when they do, transportation expenses, etc.
